Description
The set:
The case has a look-alike Sega Mega Drive. Combined with the power of Raspberry Pi, this set enables you to enjoy the games from your childhood on your modern TV. Thanks to the RetroPie software *, that we preinstall on the devices, you get to choose among different emulators to run your favorite games. Since everything is set up and ready the only thing for you to do is to connect the console with an HDMI cable to the TV and start playing.
Note: We do not provide any games and it is your responsibility to find and install games.
* The RetroPie software is open-source and can be found on https://retropie.org.uk/download/. We do install and set up the software free of charge, however, if you would like to set it up by yourself, we also offer the set without any software.
The case:
It comes with a fully functional Power and Reset button, LED indicator. Moreover, the case supports Safe Shutdown and Safe Reset modes which will make sure that the life span of the electronics inside. It is specifically designed and it is compatible with Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, and Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. The small fan and the heatsinks will make sure the case will cool not only on the outside but also inside. The Functional EJECT button can open the flap of the cartridge slot, where you can keep your microSD cards. Press the flap can close the cartridge slot. All of the Raspberry computer outputs and inputs are referenced on the case motherboard. That provided the needed flexibility and easy access of any needed ports to add your mass storage device, change the microSD Card, connect your external speaker or simply connect to the internet with the Gigabit Ethernet Port.
The controllers:
As its default case MegaPi, its story originates from the SEGA Genesis series. The unique shape and button placement makes this controller one the most comfortable and flexible tool. Because of all the necessary buttons, the joystick provides all of the needed input for you to enjoy every game from the late 80s-90s. Following the same, the same color pattern as the MegaPi case the Classic USB Controller-M looks clean and beautiful.
